MDRT members Give Back to New Orleans Homeowners

MDRT members Give Back to New Orleans HomeownersOn June 13, 2015, 96 MDRT members from 17 different countries united with one common goal: to complete home renovation projects for people in New Orleans who are still recovering from the effects of Hurricane Katrina. The MDRT Foundation also awarded a $50,000 grant to the service project partner, St. Bernard Project, a charitable organization based in New Orleans that has rebuilt 900 homes since 2006. “We believe people are hard-wired to fix and solve and help, which is why it was so inspiring to see MDRT volunteers from around the globe joining in our mission to rebuild disaster-impacted communities,” said Elizabeth Egle, development manager at St. Bernard. The $50,000 grant will bring two more hardworking families back to the home they own, 10 years after Hurricane Katrina.”
